Message from the Congress President Shinichi Sakamoto:
On behalf of the organizing committee, it was our great pleasure to host the 52nd International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering held in Chiba, Greater Tokyo, Japan, on 20–23 August 2023 (Inter-Noise 2023).
Japan has organized the Inter-Noise congress three occasions in the past: Sendai in 1975, Yokohama in 1994, and recently Osaka in 2011. Each congress was a great success. Inter-Noise 2023 was even better with over 1300 attendees and 882 papers presented over 87 technical sessions.
Inter-Noise 2023 was a live/in-person congress. However, to encourage more colleagues to participate, Inter-Noise 2023 adopted not only presentation in-person but also pre-recorded presentation for the participants who could not travel to Japan. This congress offered the best opportunities to learn about and share the cutting-edge research with colleagues from all over the world.
